Solving Industry Pain Points: Enhancing Shifting Safety

As electric vehicles become more common, the durability of shifting systems has become a focus for safety. Traditional systems often suffer from low efficiency and complex structures. Furthermore, excessive force applied by drivers during shifting can lead to the deformation or breakage of the operating lever, posing a risk to driver safety.

To address these issues, the Tenglong Automotive technical team utilized the superior structure of dual-rotor motors to design a compact and efficient automatic shifting device.

Technical Innovation: Dual Buffering and Precision Control

The core of the RD02 project lies in its innovative mechanical design and control logic:

  • Dual Buffering System: The mechanism utilizes a combination of movable plates, fixed rods, U-shaped frames, and multiple springs to provide dual protection. This design prevents breakage caused by excessive force and enhances overall driving safety.

  • Master-Slave Control: The system employs a master-slave control method during shifting, where the outer motor acts as the driving (master) motor and the inner motor acts as the driven (slave) motor.

  • Integrated Design: The device is characterized by its simple and compact structure, low manufacturing cost, and ease of maintenance.

R&D Results and Intellectual Property

The project has resulted in a registered utility model patent titled "A Double Protection Device for Electric Vehicle Gear Shifting" (Patent No. ZL201721907919.4). The final evaluation committee, led by General Manager Ye Lizhang, concluded that the project met all technical indicators and significantly improved the safety and stability of the driving environment.
